Should you find yourself walking with a lady through a crowded thoroughfare one recommends proceeding in single file with the gentleman in front so as to clear the path ahead of her. Saying ‘excuse me’ to those you are inconveniencing and ‘sorry’ if you have accidentally done something wrong as you pass through is also suggested.

It is often a nice touch to gently hold her hand whilst passing through a crowd as this will provide a level of comfort should the crowds be of a raucous nature.
